Our city center committee has focused on our students at the design schools within 
our  district, the University of Florida and Florida Community College at Jacksonville. 

On September 13th, 2006 we had our student kickoff at Florida Community College at Jacksonville with ASID.  Over 50 students attended and enjoyed the free food, raffle items given away, and networked with professionals in the residential and commercial fields of interior design.  Students were given opportunities to ask a panel of designers “what they didn’t learn in school”.  The goal of the kickoff was to increase membership and participation of the ASID/IIDA student chapter and give the students insightful information about the industry.
