April 23, 2008 Steelcase – Jacksonville, FL SPONSOR:  Perdue Office Interiors/Steelcase CEU Luncheon – The Good, The Bad and The Ugly on Material Selections Melissa DeSota with Steelcase presented her CEU on exploring how the material choices we make as designers each day can have either a positive or negative impact on human health or the overall health of the planet. We had over 25 industry reps and designers attend the social, a great mix of people representing companies such as RS&H, Fusion Design and Rink.  Attendees had several questions for the Steelcase representative about hazardous material products and how to specify products that aren’t harmful for both manufacturing processes and end users!  The luncheon was very well attended and there was lots of open discussions and dialogue between the attendees and the speaker!
