On Nov. 28th, 2006 the Miami City Center held the annual

"Mask Competition" at Florida International University,

Interior Design Department.

Participating students are given approximately 45 minutes to

create a "self portrait" mask and to present it to judges from

The Miami City Center of IIDA. This is a fun and revealing

exercise. The candor and creativity of the students is pleasantly

surprising.

The winning students are assigned an industry sponsor for

Design Mix and select a team from their classmates to help

in this effort. It is interesting to note that students have listed

among the Design Mix winners almost every year.
