If you didn't see the article in the last issue of DesignMatters, I am proud to announce that the IIDA Tampa Bay City Center was awarded Best in Programming for 2007-2008. This announcement was made at the IIDA International Chapter Banquet prior to the start of NEOCON in Chicago. Tampa Bay won over the very large and active city centers of New York City, Chicago, Southern California, and other international cities!   I am very proud of this recognition and it shows the hard work that the Tampa Bay Committee put in.  With their support and our sponsors who made generous donations towards events, we held over 20 events which are interesting, informative, and exciting. It was also a symbol of IIDA's appreciation for our members who are involved in other organizations such as USGBC, AIA, and Urban Charette, as we all worked together this year to promote the field of design with collaboration.   I would like to thank everyone who has been involved in the process of planning the many CEUs, tours, and socials we hosted, as well as the Holiday Design Competition and Incredible Edible 2008.
