On October 30th, 2007 over 40 IIDA and AIA members and students from IADT toured the new addition to the Tampa General Hospital. The new Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, and Bariatic/Gastrointestinal Med Surgery Departments were designed by the Tampa Bay office of Gresham Smith and Partners. A few of the designers and architects were on hand to explain their design challenges and Jennifer Crothers, IIDA Tampa Bay Committee Member, gave us the guided tour of the new floors.
