The Jacksonville City Center committee has focused on our students at the design 
schools within our district, the University of Florida and Florida Community College 
at Jacksonville.  On August 30th, we had our first student kickoff at UF with ASID. 
Over 60 students attended and enjoyed the free food, raffle items given away, and 
networked with professionals in the residential and commercial fields of interior design.  Students were given opportunities to ask a panel of designers “what they didn’t learn in school”.  The goal of the kickoff was to increase membership and participation of the ASID/IIDA student chapter and give the students insightful information about the industry.
